3/30 #MarchPinneditspinnedit

I found this hashtag while messing around on Instagram, so thought I'd play this week. I've gotten a ton of compliments on this outfit (probably because I'm dressed like a grown up, even though I forgot even mascara.)

Here's the inspiration outfit:

And here's my spin:

Online shopping.

And this is why I wear pants and a top every damn day. I feel like I have a normal body but yet everything looks wrong

I did find a pair of Jeans that fit me so gap in the back my butt looks great, but they are "super skinny," and I'm not sure I can (or want to) pull that off.

Another piece from this order was this Anorak. I love love loved it on the model, but then I got it on me. My friend Michele suggested that I look fine in classic pieces, but that the collar on this is too trendy.

Influenster sent us a product in exchange for unbiased review!

I have two cats. One is fat and one is thin. One bosses the other around and eats all his food. The boss doesn't really like to play, preferring to sit on a blanket or sleep in the sun. The thin cat LOVES to play. If you wiggle your fingers in a light, he will play with the shadow. If you ball up aluminum, he'll bat it around.

So I was excited to try the Temptations product sent to me, the Temptations Snacky Mouse.
The fat cat won out on this one, and enjoyed trying to get her treats... this is particularly interesting because the cats have not really been eating/enjoying their food lately. Poor kitty might actually return to normal cat size.

My son loved trying to get her to play with it more.

I have not yet captured on video the skinny cat playing, but he has batted the mouse around, when the other cat wasn't nearby... this means, of course, that this cat got no treats (not that he would eat them anyway!)

Nothing new or exciting here. I really need to find some different shoe choices. My husband, who has like 4 pairs of footwear, says I have too many, but yet I can never find the right shoe on any given workday.

Stitch Fix #2 March 2015

Stitch Fix now offers petite (and maternity) sizing, so armed with a referral credit, I scheduled a fix for spring.

How it works: you pay $20 in styling fee, which is applied to your purchase. You set your style, tell them a little about yourself, set price points, then a stylist styles you. If you buy it all, you get a 25% discount. You can return it all (but then lose the $20) for free shipping.
In total, this would cost $178.50 (after the $20 is applied. It includes the jeans, all the tops, and the necklace.
Feedback on what I should keep is welcome!

My stylist sent this note:

I received the Romolo Preston Carved Crescent Bib Necklace. Before the buy 5 discount, it costs $28. NOT something I would try but I kind of like it!

Also included is the Paper moon Jerrard Heathered Open Front Cardigan, $54. I've had my eye on a cocoon cardi, but I'm not sure if I like the fit. The stylist suggested I wear this cardigan with either outfit, the skirt or the jeans...

Below I'm wearing the Pixley Hanneli Polka Dot Swing Skirt, $54. I was most excited about this piece, but the waist is tight and I don't know if I like how it looks with the recommended tee. A white tank and a slimmer cardigan would look best I think.

I received a Market &Spruce Sam Hi-lo Short Sleeve Tee, $44. You read that right, $44 for a gray tee. I typically wear my tees tucked, so the hi lo doesn't really matter for me.

The cardigan looks like a blazer to me in this photo.

Next up is the Kut from the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jean at $78. I like it, but it feels dropped at the crotch; I don't know if that's how Boyfriend jeans fit? I definitely like the cardigan and tee with the jeans better than the skirt.

So, which items should I keep? Which should I send back? Is all this worth $178.50? Have you tried Stitch Fix yet?

I have to admit my disappointment; I only scheduled this because of their new petite sizing, but I don't feel like I received anything that counts as petite.

Fabletics Review March 2015

I'm so in love with Fabletics, so here's an all Fab outfit. I've been a member a little over a year, and it has really inspired me to work out harder and more often.

Fabletics is a subscription service for workout clothing for women (as of now....) VIP membership is optional, but gets you discounted clothing, the ability to score free loot from rewards points, and other benefits. You do have to skip or buy each month (or $49.95 is charged, which becomes an outfit credit), but I've found skipping each month easy especially after setting a reminder on my phone.
Your first outfit is 50% off, if you sign up as a VIP (that can mean as low as $25 for a tank and capri), and I've always been impressed by the quality.

Today I'm wearing the Nehalem Falls outfit, which consists of the Ko Jogger Pant and the Breezy Tank. I'm also wearing the Sintra bra.

I really like the Ko in concept; they are comfortable and soft and the sheer stripe is a neat touch. They just didn't fit me correctly, and I haven't decided if I will try them in another size or not. In addition, the Breezy tank is just so sheer, that I was incredibly uncomfortable. I might wear something like this on a weekend, with a layering tank underneath, but that would be way too many layers for me to work out. Plus it feels way too large. So, in short, I'm returning these pieces and will reconsider the Ko Jogger if it comes back in my size in April or the Breezy tank in another color... We'll see what April brings!!
Check them out and use my referral link (!

I really need to figure out how to take better photos in my classroom.

Monday, I had a great outfit. I did not have time for a photo. Alas...

So here's Tuesday's oufit...

Dress shopping

Today I hit a very small number of stores for some browsing. I loved how the floral dress fit, but at almost $100, it is so far out of my price range. I love the florals, the fit, and the length!

I'm also not sure about the blue swirl dress. I don't know if this style works for me, since I prefer dresses that have more waist definition. Does this one look good; this was on clearance and a price I'd be willing to spend.

Both dresses were at Black House White Market, which gave me these pretty heels which made my legs look amazing!

Giving a button down a chance. Giving heels a chance.

I typically don't wear button down shirts these days. They gap at the boobs and generally aren't flattering on me,  but I wear this one very occasionally, which probably means I should donate it.

I typically don't wear heels, especially for work. I'm so bored of my footwear, though, so I'm giving these a chance. We'll see if I can walk at 3pm...thank you, broken big toes.

St Patrick's Day

It's been a stressful day.

It's tough to see, but I'm wearing a green cardigan. See, I have Irish spirit, even though I'm not Irish!

From my post maternity leave shopping where I discovered that maybe JCPenney has some decent stuff. But after that initial shopping, I haven't bought much there since. This black cardigan (from Target) is so old that I've lost the belt that ties it together, instead wearing it as a flyaway cardigan.

A favorite oldie but goodie. I couldn't find my ankle length black leggings, so went with capris.

This one got trapped in the upload ether when Blogger stopped working on my phone. Cute weekend outfit; outside my comfort zone, but I like it!

Could I BE any more plain?

A new dress! It reminds me of spring!

I'm trying a new hem length; I have no idea if I like it or not.
