Another from my recent ThredUp box, this sweater is great. It's warmer without being heavy, it swings nicely as I walk, and it has those points on it. I'm just not sure if it overwhelms my small frame. Ah well.

I love these shoes. I bought them at Kohls last year, and tried to buy a similar pair this year to no success. They're so comfortable for teacher shoes. The only problem is the metal is silver, so I need to figure out how to remedy that.

I get so so so many compliments on this necklace. It's from the DYT store.

Yesterday was a piece in the fall purge, but I was far too busy to take a quick snap.

So here's today. The top is from my ThredUp box. I love it and wanted to wear it for a Saturday night out, but then we didn't go out. Alas.

This didn't look fabulous in the mirror at home, but I do like how it looks in the photos. I'm never confident in a skirt/leggings combo, but yet I'm always cold. Shockingly, I'm a little tired of wearing pants all the time. Eh, change is good, right?

Today's outfit has earrings from my recent ThredUp purchase.  Necklace is longer than I'd typically choose, but I get so many compliments on it, and it's just perfect for this outfit.

I nearly chose rust pants, in a monochromatic attempt, but I figured it would be overkill.

I'm not sure about these earrings, but nothing for the donate pile today!

I have to wear this shirt today, and it really doesn't look awesome now that I KNOW.

I bought this lipstick at Target yesterday. I don't usually buy stuff off the shelf, preferring to try it on first, but it works pretty perfectly.

I began the day in an old mustard sweater. After wearing the same sweater the other day and receiving feedback that it's too short, I went with this sweater, which arrived yesterday. It feels so much better, since it fits better and also because it has a V neck rather than a crew neck. Nothing for the purge today, other than the previously mentioned yellow sweater.

Continuing in my "should I keep this?" track, this sweater. I'm just not SURE on it. I purchased it on a business trip when I needed a sweater. It's comfortable, it has some points in it, but is the color right? I just don't know.

The groups I'm in do No Repeat November (NRN). I forgot to take photos for most of November.

I made a big purchase from ThredUp (an online thrift store; so awesome!), and it arrived yesterday. I also have been looking at a lot of decluttering posts, and with these things flying around my mind, started to purge my closet. A few things I bought at the beginning of my DYT journey, for example, and things that just didn't work for one reason or another. But I still have way more than I need, so I'm going to do my own version of NRN, and it will carry into December, and it will help me figure out if anything needs to go.

Like this green sweater. I've had it for years, and it might work or it might not. It might just be something to keep for those chilly days.

 Speaking of Thredup, I purchased these shoes. I'm finicky about shoes, with my weird wide feet, but I do like these a bunch! They're more orangey than they appear in this picture.

I came into work wearing this sweater. I really don't know if it's RIGHT for me.

I had this behind my desk, so thought I'd give it a try.

Update

Life has been busy. Tremendous, but busy. Students found this blog or instagram, so I've shut everything down because #teacherlife. I have been running to get out the door on time because my new commute traffic is unpredictable, so I haven't done many OOTD posts at all.

But, DYT's course is now free. The focus has been on before and afters, and since we recently had family photos done, it's a perfect time for my yearly check in.

If you've forgotten, my first DYT photo was in December 2015, and I shared an update in 2016.

Here's the then and now from the family photos. My hair? Amazeballs.

Suits

Finding suits is easy. Finding women's suits, in petite lengths, in not gray or black or navy is really tough.

I had a gray suit and a navy suit in my closet, and it was time to replace them. The navy suit fits me amazingly, though the waistband has been tightening of late.

I saw these on NY&Co and a decision was made.

I also ordered this dress, and honestly, have not figured out what to do with it. It's obviously too long, but is it too large? Is it unflattering? My husband said that I look better in pants than in dresses, so I'm second guessing myself PLUS I can't afford to keep it all, and the dress also has to be returned via mail (which means a $7 return shipping charge).

 

Catch up

Back to school has made me busy. So busy, I haven't been posting. Then, another teacher made a comment about my having a style blog, so here I am on lockdown on insta and on here. This is just for me anyway, so yeah. Here's the last month or so of selfie narcissism.
