Boots!

Awhile ago, I tried painting boots. It wasn't a huge success; it irked my patience, took a long time, and ended up cracking.

I wasn't thrilled with these boots being "mushroom gray," so I went to amazon and learned about suede dye.


It_was_so_easy.

It did come with some weird lines, but they make me so happy.

Transformation Tuesday


When I began this process, I didn't know which "Type" I belonged to. So I tried out Type 1 and then Type 4. The photo on the left is part of that journey, from January 13.

Over the weekend, I bleached my skirt and my jacket, so this is a fitting transformation Tuesday, since not only have *I* changed, but so have these items of clothing.

No makeup or jewelry in today's photo, but you can see the finished result here!

Shoe Refashion

I love these boots, but have a hard time wearing them. I can never find just the right pants or how to wear them correctly.

So I refashioned them.

I used acetone to strip the suede, and Angelus Leather Paint in Cognac (plus an inexpensive fan brush from the regular store)....
