I had a good set up in our old house. I had good light, the right angle from the stairs, and only my children home.

Now, I must figure out a place with good lighting, a good place for the camera, and to do it all when my husband isn't paying attention. It's a struggle.

This is what I wore for the first day of school. I tore my calf a few days before this, so for the next few days, you'll see me with a bent knee.

I think that, at least until I get some peacock blue, that raspberry may be my signature color!!

It's jeans day! I love these jeans from Lauren Conrad's line at Kohls. These are a style I seriously never thought to try, until my mommy friends started talking about how much better they are; jeggings. Same item can be seen here.

I went back to my old style of eye shadow, with the gold on the lid and the green in the crease. Tough to see in this photo, I know. I also added liner to my lower lid and WOW what a difference. My eyes seriously look more exotic with that small change. 

You can't see them in the photo, but I'm also wearing these earrings, also from Kohls.

Jeans Day! Half Day! WOOOT WOOT!

I love these jeans, but I struggle with how to style them. They're not really boot cut and they're not really skinny jeans. I'm not fashionable enough to have the sense to just "know" so I do what I think works, even if it doesn't.

Today's outfit features a Stitch Fix piece that came to me via a BST board. I received a white Moni blouse in a fix and loved it except that it was white and so so blah. When I saw this bright pattern, I quickly scooped it up.

The stud detail, though, made me think that a necklace wouldn't work. But it felt so bare without it, so I added a thin one. It really needed the chunky necklace!

I also wore this a few weeks ago with a belt at my natural waist, and received a compliment on it that way, but I could not get it to work the way I wanted today.

Oct 11--Jeans Day

I started today in this top.  It's a Petite top from Loft.  I LOVE it, however, it's so short that my Momma-belly shows every time I move.  Not very professional or flattering.

So instead I wore this top, also from Loft.  It's so soft and pretty, I'm thinking about ordering it in another color!  It's charcoal gray, though it looks black here, and while it's also a petite, I ordered it in a larger size than the pink one above.

I decided after taking the picture to go with a purple scarf and purple flats, which add some fun to the neutrals.
