I considered wearing a button down blouse under this dress (is this a shift? I'm pretty sure it is), but didn't feel like playing around today, so just threw on the cardigan. I considered a gray cardigan with gray leggings, a gray cardigan with burgundy leggings, but since I was considering open top shoes, I ultimately went with my burgundy tights.

I need to get some more tights.

I also was not sure how to go with shoes... I really need to invest in a full length mirror.

On the left is the pin, and on the right is my spin. As I mentioned before, I went on a DSW shopping spree, and these tights made their way into my basket. They are so beyond my comfort zone, but I got so many compliments on them today!

Another day, another set of indecision.

I chose to mimic the polka dots and the green, even though you certainly can't tell in my early morning photo:

I bought these booties the other day, and I'm unsure about them. I'm going through a mini budget crisis of confidence, so I'm not sure about spending money on, well, trends and I'm not sure if they'll be comfortable enough for a full day of work. I had a though that I should save them for a date night.......... (if ever).

So I changed it up and went even more casual than I was to start:

I settled on my gray Toms for my feet. I'm not sure it's perfect, but I've gotten a lot of compliments today! This skirt is definitely a winner.

I'm not thrilled with my interpretation today. I really forgot what the outfit was, but remembered cream and pink, so went with this.

After 13 or so hours in those leopard heels on Monday, I needed a break.

I really like the original pin better than my spin, and it really makes me want some green trousers and floral blouses in my closet. Alas, I hope to be austere this month and not spend any money on clothes. We'll see how long that lasts; hopefully awhile since I hope to be transitioning to spring clothing soon!!

One thing I've noticed by taking these photos (and chopping out my head) is that I have a long neck. I need to use that to my advantage somehow!

These are lined wool pants, and a great find in my "take to the dry cleaner" bag where they have sat for over a year. Oops. But I'm so glad I found and cleaned them before these desperately cold days we've had this week.

I often keep distance between my work side of the closet and my casual side of the closet, but I've been trying to move away from tee shirts in my casual wardrobe, so sometimes there's overlay.

I thought long and hard about this top, because I'm not really sure it's school ok, but I went with it anyway.

Still trying to mix things up, still hating the cold weather.

We've been having bad weather, and I've been wearing my snow boots whenever I go outside. I hope this protects my shoes and pants from the salt and garbage, but it also results in my forgetting a change of shoes. Luckily, my purple snow boots (Lands End) worked here.

November 13

No time for a photo yesterday, and the outfit wasn't really anything spectacular anyway... probably documented here somewhere already.

The same is true today, but at least I got a photo in.

I'm wearing my Pandora earrings, and a tee, cardigan, and pants from Loft.
