Keep it or Toss it Day 3.

I shy away from belts, unless they're holding up my pants. Belts as fashion accessory are not something with which I am comfortable, but this one was gifted to me and it feels far better than another belt I have.

I've been itching to buy some Lu La Roe, and finally found one that suggested my type. It's not something I'd ever have considered before this journey, but definitely one I loved as soon as I saw it.

I tend to shy away from patterns, but am trying to embrace it now.

I went back and forth about what to wear on my legs, since my choices for skirts haven't been great. Hopefully bare legs are ok for 1. Work and 2. Me always being cold. #octoberpinneditspinnedit Now, to agonize over which shoes to wear. #ootd #teacherootd #whattheteacherwore

I settled on my gray Toms for my feet. I'm not sure it's perfect, but I've gotten a lot of compliments today! This skirt is definitely a winner.

I found this skirt packed away with my winter stuff. It's a summer skirt, so I wanted to wear it, but it was definitely chilly. I don't think this outfit worked at all.

More shopping

I took the kids on an adventure today, so I totally dressed Mom tastic. But my Loft order arrived and I think I've found at least one winner in the great jeans search of 2015! I thought Modern fit was for me, but really I need Curvy fit.

In a previous order, I got an anorak. I loved the print but not the jacket itself, so when I found the same print in a sale priced skirt, I jumped on it.

My husband often tells me he doesn't like me in skirts/dresses, so it was pretty shocking when he said he likes this one. Even if it wasn't only $12, I'd say that's a keeper!

Feb 9

We've been having bad weather, and I've been wearing my snow boots whenever I go outside. I hope this protects my shoes and pants from the salt and garbage, but it also results in my forgetting a change of shoes. Luckily, my purple snow boots (Lands End) worked here.

As I mentioned the other day, I am in a winter clothing rut. Warmth and comfort all the time. This, of course, led to a shopping spree at Loft (don't forget to shop through Ebates to earn cash back on all your online shopping!).

So I pulled this together. It is definitely outside of my rut, and the fleece lined (tough to tell but they are a maroon color) leggings were about as warm as pants.

I ended up wearing my standard brown tall boots with this, and rolled the waistband to bring the hem to a more flattering length.

I'm fighting and surrendering to fall. I really went back and forth for footwear; the boots look black in the picture, but they are chocolate brown. I'm not certain of them with the black leggings,  but they looked better than the flats. I really want a full length mirror.
