I somehow forgot to get my back to school haircut this year, so this overgrown mop hasn't been cut since mid June. When I called to schedule a few weeks ago, today was the only day I could get. So the mop will be contained later today.

 


But the real fun I want to tell you about is this jacket. I wore it quite a bit last year, when I decided on type 3, because I thought it worked. Then I received some comments that it, well, didn't. So I tried to dye it. It didn't come out as I hoped, but I'm confident it's much better than it was!

Oh boy this was a rough weekend. Battling the cold I get every year this week, plus I was not home pretty much at all thanks to a training. So let's do this week, but maybe you could "wake me up when September ends..."

I wasn't really feeling the sweater, but needed it due to the morning chill. When I saw these pictures, though, I saw how wide it makes me look. So I switched it a little when I got to work, because of course I need the sweater!!

Back to School Night means a neverending day. It seem just mean to put picture day on the day after, no?

9/22 Back to School Night

Tonight is Back to School Night, so I brought something less casual for it, but needed to be comfortable today. I've already received a few compliments.

This morning was chaotic, so a bathroom selfie.

What happens when you've named your blog a certain way and then you age out of the name? I have 2 years to figure that out, I suppose. I also have 2 years from today to finish that bucket list I haven't made much progress on. (No new kids, though... I have tried SCUBA, have sung karaoke, and maybe added 15 states to my list, thanks to our Colorado trip!)

I covet more jewelry. My birthday is coming, so perhaps some will come my way. I have a haircut scheduled (just didn't get around to it before school started), but not for two more weeks! Eek. I'm getting a fun flippy action going at the back, but I'm not sure if I like it, or I want to go back to super short, shaved.

Monday's outfit was fantastic, but I couldn't get a snap of it. I wore my leopard heels and boy are my toes aching. Perhaps their heel lifespan has run out, as I look to an appointment to see if there's arthritis there. Yup.

Anyway, onwards and upwards...

Stitch Fix

I forgot to post my July Stitch Fix box!

 

This dress was so beautiful, but fit me so poorly. If the bra wasn't showing and/or it wasn't too long, this would have been a big hit for me!

 

This top was too bright a yellow. And really shapeless. The skirt was seriously BLAH.

This tank was a keeper! My own shorts with it, but I love this and wear it often!

Loft's outlet had great T3 colors. I am so comfortable today and feel pretty awesome.

I painted our half bathroom a few weeks ago, and I don't look as good in it as I used to! Funny how that works.

Anyway, it's tough to figure out how to get the lighting right in this space.

As has happened for several years, my 9 year old son picked my first day of school outfit. He nailed it.
