Whole30

I finished my first Whole30 round yesterday!

I had some pitfalls: Traveling, and having other people in charge of my food, was challenging. I did the best that I could, but I don't really know what was in the foods I ate those days. This should be a Whole30 restart, but that's not how I roll.

Eating out was a challenge; I had to ask so many questions of servers and even call ahead to restaurants, which we're all conditioned against doing.

Gains: More energy, looser pants, a feeling of tremendous accomplishment, and 7lbs lost. Also a recommencement to working out on the regular.

As I said, my pants fit looser. I wore the same pants today as I did on January 29, and the difference is obvious.

My mom often called me a show-off. I like to think of myself as an entertainer, and my Myers-Briggs type confirms this (ESFP). When I wear an outfit like this, I feel like myself unlike the teacher clothes I wear everyday to look like a grownup.

I suited up for the last day of my trip, presentation day. I love this top, which I got for like 3 bucks on ThredUp and haven't really had a place to wear. Perfect.

I couldn't figure out how to get the tights to look right; I only brought brown and burgundy with me, and the shoes just didn't look right.

I went with the darker shoe.

As a teacher, business travel isn't really part of my everyday, or even sort of occasional, experience. But I do get to do them sometimes.

I led a team of educators in evaluating a school, and tried on my best wanna be administrator face.

I'm doing something HARD this week, and so I'm digging deep on that Fire and calling upon my inner Wonder Woman, which is why I took a pic of my leather cuff (I want all the cuffs) and my WW bangle.

I got my hair did. When I get my hair did, I like to dress extra T3 so the stylist will know who's showing up.

I didn't put on makeup, though.

I told my stylist I was looking for a change, and that I really loved the fauxhawk I've been rocking since July. She said let's go for the fauxhawk.

She then cut it super short, I think planning on a different type of shorter fauxhawk, which my fine hair doesn't really DO.

So I'm back to a pixie, which I guess is what I really wanted in the first place!!

I bought these jeans from ThredUp, and they were WAY too long plus had a huge flare. I had them hemmed by a tailor, but I'm not certain if the cut is right for my small frame, though it's certainly better balanced than they were!

This belt was in my very first T3 purchase from the DYT store, and I've never been able to figure out how to wear it well. It feels weird on my natural waist, it feels ugly and weird around my hips, and the damn thing slides all over the place ALL DAY LONG.

Check out the heels I just got from Thredup! They almost made it through the day, comfort wise, but the insole started to disintegrate and I had to switch them out.

Boots!

Awhile ago, I tried painting boots. It wasn't a huge success; it irked my patience, took a long time, and ended up cracking.

I wasn't thrilled with these boots being "mushroom gray," so I went to amazon and learned about suede dye.

It_was_so_easy.

It did come with some weird lines, but they make me so happy.

Everything is second hand, but the jeans. Boots from Poshmark, Sweater and earrings from Thredup, necklace from a FB sale group.

I needed to be extra fierce today, so rather than letting my hair do it's thing, I Sumo Tech'ed and did it up. It pretty much rocks today.

I also think I've landed on a secondary.....
